What is Your Learning & Thinking Style?

    TARGET LISTENING: Listen-Learn-Respond
A Seminar to Help Employees Listen & Respond More Efficiently & Effectively in Any Work Environment

For the public version of this seminar go to Listening

Do you have employees that...

...
"Zone out" during meetings or discussions?
... Have difficulty "reading" a person's body language?
... Respond inappropriately during meetings or discussions?
... Can't take effective notes during meetings or discussions?
... Avoid speaking with certain people because of personality conflicts?
... Have trouble retaining complex information during meetings or discussions?

If "YES" to any of these questions, those employees are likely "Passive Listeners".

To become "
Active Listeners" employees need to develop listening goals that fit their individual thinking style - and the thinking style of the speaker.  This method will immediately improve your employees' comprehension, retention, and recall of everything they hear.

Who should attend?

Any employee who would like to improve his or her listening and communication skills during meetings, conversations, and training sessions.

What will my employees learn?

They will learn how to:

Understand and respond to the body language of the person they are speaking with

Use their body language to make others more receptive to their message

Identify the true intentions of the people they are speaking with

Take effective notes during discussions, meetings & training sessions

Stay alert & focused during meetings, classes, and conversations

They will also learn how to listen and respond appropriately during:

  Meetings and presentations

  Face-to-face conversations

  Telephone conversations

Discussions with co-workers, supervisors, clients, and vendors

Confrontations with difficult and angry people

What makes this seminar different?

It is virtually impossible to remain completely attentive during every conversation, meeting, or training session; none of us can maintain 100% focus, 100% of the time.  Therefore, we will show your employees how to recognize key phrases and non-verbal communication that will signal when to respond and how to elicit the desired reaction from the speaker.  After all, listening is only half the battle.

For more information on how our programs are different from other training providers, go to Different.
