How are your seminars unique?

The information and skills presented in our seminars are easy to learn, and can be immediately applied to your employees' current jobs.  For detailed differences between Target Learning and other seminar providers, click here.

If we already have a training department, why would we need your seminars?

Our seminars are an ideal complement to your current and future training programs.  By showing your employees how to learn and process information (and communicate their thoughts) more efficiently and effectively, they will be more active and receptive learners and thinkers - not only during your own training sessions but also while applying their skills on the job.  In addition, the confidence they develop in their own learning and thinking skills will help them adapt more quickly to changes in your organization.

How do you assess the effectiveness of your programs?

Pre-Assessment

Participants of our reading seminar will take a pre-test and a post-test to assess their overall level of improvement (see reading scores).  And at the start of every program, participants complete a learning and thinking style assessment; this helps each participant recognize their preferred method for receiving and processing new information.

Post-Assessment

Approximately three months following each seminar, participants can take our Online Post Assessment.  Naturally, the questions can be tailored to meet the specific training objectives of your organization.  After we tabulate the participants' answers, you will receive a comprehensive summary of the results.

What materials do our employees receive when they take your seminars?

Each seminar participant will receive a TL Participant Workbook.  The workbook includes all the learning and communication strategies within an easy to find format; this will help participants quickly find the strategies for specific work-related tasks when they are needed.

What type of follow-up does Target Learning provide for each of its seminars?

Every client will receive our TL Advisor Program, at no extra charge.  This program allows each seminar participant 6 months of online access to his or her instructor.  For instance, if a participant completes our "Target Listening" seminar, but later encounters a work situation that requires a particular listening solution, we will provide a specific response within 48 hours of the participant's request.

Can your seminars be customized?

Yes, each of our seminars can be taught "as is" or you can ask us to modify the seminar content and length to satisfy your organization's specific training objectives - the cost is the same.  For a customized seminar, just complete our Seminar Request Form.

When and where are your seminars offered?

We can offer our programs on-site at your place of work, or at a location of your choice.  We can also provide day, evening and weekends sessions.  There is never an extra charge for off-hours scheduling.

What steps are taken to ensure participants are prepared for your seminars?

Once you set a date and time for a seminar, we will create a private web page for the expected participants (see sample).  This page will inform each participant of the seminar logistics (i.e. what to bring, when and where to attend, etc.), and it will provide them key information about the instructor, the objectives, and how the seminar will benefit them professionally and personally.

Specifically, this web page will:

Efficiently coordinate the logistics between Target Learning and your HR department
Generate significant interest in the seminar to ensure maximum participation
Motivate participants to schedule their time accordingly to attend the seminar
Ensure participants begin the seminar with the appropriate expectations
Help the seminar begin with informed & motivated participants

Do you offer flat rates?

Yes, we offer flat rates - and reduced rates for small businesses.  To view our prices, see Rates.
