Target Listening: Do You Hear What I Hear?
A 4, 6 or 8-Hour Seminar to Help Employees Listen, Learn & Remember More Effectively

Do you have employees that:

"Zone out" during meetings or discussions?
Have difficulty "reading" a person's body language?
Respond inappropriately during meetings or discussions?
Can't take effective notes during meetings or discussions?
Avoid speaking with certain people because of personality conflicts?
Have trouble retaining complex information during meetings or discussions?

If "YES" to any of these questions, your employees are likely "Passive Listeners".

To become "
Active Listeners", each employee needs to develop listening goals that fit his or her own thinking style - and the thinking style of the speaker.  This method will immediately improve your employees' comprehension, retention and recall of everything they hear.

Who should attend?

Any employee who would like to improve his or her listening and retention skills during meetings, conversations, and training sessions.

What will my employees learn?

They will learn how to:

Identify the meaning of their speaker’s body language
Identify their speaker’s true intentions to avoid misinterpretation
Take effective notes during meetings and training sessions
  Improve their overall concentration skills

They will also learn how to listen and respond appropriately during:

  Meetings and presentations
  Face-to-face conversations
  Telephone conversations
  Discussions with team members
Confrontations with angry (or hostile) customers

Why do you offer 4, 6 & 8-hour formats?

The 6 and 8-hour seminars (available in a 1 or 2-day format) will provide significant hands-on training to help your employees immediately transfer their new skills back to the workplace.  The 4-hour seminar will provide participants with essential strategies (and resources) to apply once they return to work (often the same day). The shorter format also serves as a practical refresher for experienced employees (who may not have time to spend a full day away from the office).

What makes this seminar different?

It is virtually impossible to remain completely attentive during every conversation, meeting or training session; none of us can maintain 100% focus, 100% of the time.  Therefore, we will show your employees how to recognize key phrases and non-verbal communication that will signal when to respond and how to elicit the desired reaction from the speaker.  After all, listening is only half the battle.
